Chuck’s Chick ! Yvonne Strahovski

There’s little doubting the main attraction for most red blooded males to NBC’s ratings winner Chuck – Sarah Walker played by Yvonne Strahovski. The series has remained true to its followers and despite an on again, off again battle with NBC they decided not only to fill a 3rd season but grant the show an extension and order a fourth season! Few fans could have hoped for this result 6 months ago but boy are we pleased! Chuck Season 3 is now available on Blu-ray and of course DVD!

It means that as long as the writers see sense, Sarah Walker will remain on our screens for a little while longer! So when does Season 4 premiere? You have a little while longer to wait – 2 months infact – Chuck versus the anniversary (S4 Ep1) airs on NBC September 20th 2010.

Dolph Lundgren and Harry Dean Stanton are confirmed guest stars for the first episode.

The episode summary for the final episode of season three read “Morgan, Devon and Ellie team up to save Team Bartowski from the Ring, while Chuck’s flashes start to give him headaches, after Shaw took the governor from him.

Meanwhile, the Buy More owner Moses contacts Big Mike with an ultimatum.”

It truly was the perfect ending to a third season, it had everything from raw emotion of Chuck’s father to downright hilarity. Chuck’s relationship with Sarah is starting to develop into a series concern now that both spies are living together – the secret stsh of guns was a nice touch even though Chuck was unaware of the arsenal!

So what about the big tease at the end? Holy Chuck – Chuck’s mother!!! I can’t wait to see who actually plays Ma Bartowski – could it be wonder woman Lynda Carter? …

May the Chuck be with you

Great news people, the news we have all be waiting for, chuck has been renewed for a third season – HOWEVER it looks as if NBC have only picked it up for a 13 episode run and a number of cost cutting exercises are also likely to be in place.

As far as I am concerned, a little Chuck is better than no chuck at all but like any true fan we always want more Sarah on our screens (and Chuck!!). It truly is great news and surely a case of fan power actually persuading the powers that be at NBC that it would be foolish to cancel such a popular show.

There are rumours however that the pay off for a return to our screens will mean the departure of a semi major character from the show – hot favourite to go at the moment include Anna and the manager of Buy More but only time will tell.

Let us all celebrate this chuckfastic news – the nerd is back – or will be soon!

Chuck Finale a fitting End?

I’ve just sat through the Chuck season finale all the while wondering whether this would be the end of our nerdy hero from Buy More. I’ll get to that at the end of the blog but let me say this – what a wonderful way to end the second series. Chuck for me has faltered of late but to say NBC made up for it in a mind-blowing finale would be an understatement.

The episode begins with Chuck entering Emmett’s office and despite a little confusion from Emmett (nothing new there then), Chuck quits his job at Buy More and both he and Casey leave for the Yogurt store where Casey hands Chuck a sizable cheque from the government for time served as the intersect.

Chuck turns down a job offer from Beckman not realising that it would be to work with Larkin and Sarah on the intersect 2 job in Switzerland. Larkin takes delight in the thought of working closely with Sarah once again as Chuck is left to contemplate life in the slow lane for the foreseeable future. Thoughts turn to Ellie’s wedding and everyone is gathered to celebrate her wedding to captain Awesome!

Chuck discovers two dead waiters under a table in the dining room and is faced with the grim reality that Ted Roarke survived the attack and has come to steal the intersect cube and Chuck has 30 minutes to hand it over or Ellie will die.

In a bid to stall the wedding party, Chuck asks Morgan to stall the wedding in any way he can, obviously not realising his only option would be to get “Jeffster” to perform at the wedding! I have to admit, they were better than I expected and incredibly funny! They have to be seen to be believed, let …

Will the real Yvonne Strahovski step forward?

It’s raining outside, the temperature has dropped to critical levels and the fire is roaring to counteract the frosty siberian weather threatening to come indoors!!

I’ve been sitting here for the better part of an hour or more wondering, nay contemplating what I could watch on tv tonight. It’s been a fairly busy day what with going to the gym first thing this morning, plenty of shopping, running errands and then helping a mate download a blog to his website! Oh and I nearly forgot the most important part of today, sending some hot chocolate in the post to my mate Connellan. I know he won’t appreciate it, in fact the first words out of his mouth when the postie delivers the package tomorrow will be FFS!!!

I digress! Ever since I watched episode one of Chuck I was hooked! Was it the fact that the geek gets the girl? The nerd makes a difference – in real life scenarios? Amazing acting? It’s probably a combination of all three but by far the most important reason to watch Chuck for me? Yvonne Strahovski!!!

Yvonne plays Sarah Walker, an undercover operative whose sole mission is to keep Chuck safe. To do that, she has to pose as his girlfriend and spend loads of precious time with him. This often results in enforced showers, copious amounts of stripping (well not nearly as much as I’d like) and good old fashioned bonding.

So the relationship, the fake one remember? It’s not really fake. Well, it is, but it isn’t! Both Chuck and Sarah have real feelings for each other and despite the fact that he’s a nerd and she’s a hottie they do really want each other! The problem is neither will admit it to the other and they end up skating …
