Big Brother 8 is upon us ……

Charley's media shotAlthough I said I wouldn’t …. I did !!! Big Brother 8 is upon us and the big producers at Endemol and Channel 4 have decided to place 11 women in the house and not one man – surely the first time in Big brother history that this has happened? Yes I know a guy is going in on Friday to spice things up but I can’t help think that they’ve made a mistake with this decision – only time will tell I guess. I’ll give it a week !!!

Wouldn’t it be funny if they decide to put a very healthy attractive male in the house and watch the women squirm for attention – only to find out that he is infact Gay! Can I say that ? Oops there I’ve said it ! What would make it even funnier is if he wasn’t allowed to say he was Gay and his reward was to stay in the house if they didn’t find out ! I guess we won’t have long to find out !

I can’t for the life of me remember all the names but I will comment on a few….. The TWINS ! aargggh – someone please shoot me ! The idea of two gorgeous female twins usually would do it for me but these two are dam annoying, right from the get go with high screeching and it’s pink, it’s pink cries of satisfaction. it’s as if Big Brother designed the house just for them. The claim they do everything together will be interesting to watch during their stay – will they crack ? I hope so ! Go on Big brother, separate them !

Chanelle or is it Victoria !The two lookers are the Victoria Beckham look alike (when she dresses up like her) and Charley with the most …

Tim McGraw’s Cold Case is Hot

Tim McGrawJust finished watching Cold Case and what a complete and awesome surprise that the entire soundtrack from the show was made up of Tim McGraw songs – all nine of them !

EPISODE 11 “THE RED AND THE BLUE” – Season 4 is the first time I’ve ever known a programme use one artist in its entirety. The other first as far as I am concerned is the use of Nashville as the centre for a cold case – mind you, very little of Nashville is used in the programme!

Doing a search for more information on the inclusion of McGraw’s music I stumbled upon a complete track listing and description of the scene – check out the site here, it’s a great resource for music used in every cold case episode. http://www.have-dog.com/coldcase/

24 Season 6 Finale

Look it's the lovely Nadia !!Another season draws to a close and Bauer lives on to save us from evil. Let’s face it the fact that he has signed for another couple of seasons sort of gives it away but nonetheless it’s still great to see Jack kill 11 baddies in the final episode. As far as season finale’s go it was a rather tepid one, I guess indicative of the season as a whole to be fair – not one of Jack’s strongest days! That said it certainly had its shocks and excitement – who would have thought a nuclear bomb would go off and that Jack would kill Curtis by shooting him in the neck – his buddy over the last few seasons went in the blink of an eye!!

I’m looking forward to the next season now and can’t wait to see how they pick the next president ! I can’t see Palmer coming back anytime soon and I hope for everyone’s sake that the Vice President isn’t commander in chief the next time CTU have a small problem. Mind you, anything is better than the pin cushion that is ex President Logan.

I was disappointed that Jack’s sister in law didn’t get a bigger part in the series, maybe next time. Is Jack the father ? We won’t know; will we ever find out? !

Be very interested to see what people thought of the ending of episode 24 – was it too quiet, boring ? I quite liked the last ten minutes of the programme, allowing us to see a tender side to Jack although I was just waiting for someone to whack him on the head as he sat on the bed holding her hand !! The episode ended with Jack looking down at the cliff and contemplating what …

American Idol – The trio, my take !

Sitting here watching a delayed showing of American Idol and I thought I’d make notes as the evening went for the final three. Jordin opened the show with a great performance one that oozes class. I preferred this version to the original “Wishing on a star”. Simon Cowell liked the performance but didn’t like the arrangement.

There’s no doubt the three best singers are left in the semi-final and it’s going to be hard to chose the final two from these talented singers!!! Blake’s up and singing a police classic “Roxanne”. Blake has a magnificent delivery and yet again makes the song his own with a faultless performances, very reggae!!! He ends the song with a slide towards the judges – no beat boxing ! Again Cowell keeping it real comparing with Sting’s rendition.

Now then this will be very interesting, Melinda is going to sing Whitney Houston’s “I believe in you and me”, one of my all time favourite Whitney songs!! Not the greatest offerings from Melinda but it was polished and she made it her own. It sounded a key lower than Whitney’s version and not as “sweet” but it was still a cracking attempt. After the first round I’d probably have Jordin and Melinda as the finalists.

Jordin kicks off round two with a Donna Summer number, “she works hard for the money”. A very confident song but I didn’t think it was as good as the first song of the evening. Very feisty though. The crowd loved it! Oh wow, Blake gets to sing Maroon 5′s “This Love” – this will be interesting. Welcome back to Blakesville ! This is more his music – cracking blend of beat boxing and singing – I really enjoyed this, he’s back in the game. Judges agreed with me for …

NBC announces new schedule .. few shocks.

NBC have released their  new schedule and there are a couple of disappointments even though they were expected to a certain degree.

NBC has emphasised “quality” and 360-degree commissioning as two key planks of its 2007-08 schedule unveiled this afternoon in New York.
The network’s upfront presentation to advertisers revealed a schedule with five new dramas, a new comedy imported from Britain, and an alternative programming slate featuring a singing competition and a new dance-based reality show from American Idol judge Randy Jackson. The new shows will replace casualties including the critical favourite but severely ratings-challenged Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and the long-running Crossing Jordan. Digital Spy carry the story …..“Last year we promised a return to the NBC legacy of quality, and in terms of awards, buzz and critical acclaim, that’s just what we delivered,” said NBC Entertainment president Kevin Reilly. “We’ve got the class and next season we’re ready to add some mass, with new shows that build on the creative accomplishments of last season and are as broad as they are good. Combine the energy of these new programmes with the bulked-up strength of our existing NBC hits and you’ve got a lineup that’s poised to take us to the next level.”

Ryan as the Bionic WomanThe presentation contained some expected moves: Friday Night Lights is off to Friday nights and Law and Order has been been moved to the 8pm slot on Sundays. There were also some quirks, with 30 Rock and The Office flipping timeslots in an effort to build an audience for the former.

There was good news for Heroes fans – as part of the 360 degree commissioning drive, creator Tim Kring will work on 6 episodes of a spinoff, Origins, featuring an entirely new cast. The episodes are expected to …

New US TV Schedules this week ……

America’s TV networks will this week unveil their 2007-08 schedules to advertisers and viewers in a series of upfront presentations so named because they are designed to allow advertisers to buy commercial spots “up front” before the season gets underway. Digital Spy

Up first will be NBC with its presentation today (Monday) at 15:00 Eastern (20:00 UK). It is expected that a wide-ranging revamp of the network’s entire schedule may be announced, with even long-time Thursday-night anchor ER possibly to be moved. Friday Night Lights is expected to move to Friday, and it remains to be seen where a possible seventh season of Scrubs will end up.

ABC will make its presentation at 16:00 Eastern (21:00 UK) on Tuesday and confirm what will be happening with Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Private Practice (Wednesdays at 9pm is rumoured) and Men In Trees, which was beaten by its midseason replacement October Road in the ratings.

Next up will be CBS, opting to make its presentation at 14:00 Eastern (19:00 UK) on Wednesday. It is still unclear as to whether Jericho, which had its season split and was moved around the schedule in search of viewers during its first run, will get a second season.

The CW will announce whether Veronica Mars will be staying or going at 10:30 Eastern (15:30 UK) on Thursday; Fox will round out the week with its 16:00 Eastern presentation also on Thursday. To watch for: will Brad Garrett’s ‘Til Death end up slotted next to Back To You, which stars fellow Everybody Loves Raymond alum Patricia Heaton?

Be very interesting to see what happens this week, it’s always a pivital week for all concerned especially the fans that see their beloved programmes sent to the vitrual graveyard slot or indeed cancelled. Only time will  …

Schapelle Stitched Up

Controversial T-ShirtIt has been a while since I wrote my last (and only) entry to date on Schapelle’s plight in an Indonesian prison. I decided to take a look around the net and see what people were writing, what the latest news was and if anyone had anything interesting to report.

The biggest story to attract my attention was that of Indonesia -based Australian Nicholas Morley who has designed a controversial t-shirt attacking Schapelle Corby and the Bali economy. The t-shirt, depicted here in the image reads “Four kilo anti-hero” and retails for $79. Also printed on the shirt, in much smaller writing, are the words, “Schapelle Corby is guilty and has cost Bali millions of dollars in lost revenue”. Sarah Grant also writes a piece in the Sunday Telegraph.

A significant proportion of the profits from the sale of the shirt will go to the Jodie O’Shea Orphanage in Bali despite British-born Alison Chambers, who runs the orphanage, having never seen the garment. She also proclaims she was unaware that the shirt’s message clearly relates to Schapelle.

Schapelle in BaliThere’s no doubt that the orphanage does great things for young children and I guess it’s just a case of a line and has it been crossed in this case? I have to say I am a Corby supporter from afar – I’ve never met her or know much about her as a person – I guess I try to see the good in people and believe in her innocence.

A law exists in the UK and Australia that criminals cannot profit from their crime, surely there must be something written that a company or individual cannot profit from said criminal in a blatant form of jumping on the bandwagon?

It is quite clear that the Bali tourist industry has been severely …

Michael Buble – Lost

Every now and then you come across a song that you can’t switch off and before tonight’s drive home from work it was Tim McGraw’s “My Little Girl” from the movie Flicka. About five minutes into the drive tonight the cd flicked over to Michael Buble’s “Lost” – track six from his album “Call Me Irresponsible”. The haunting words and awesome delivery from Buble had me in awe and as soon as the track ended I hit return and the pleasure began once again.

He co-wrote “Lost” with another promising Canadian singer Jann Arden, and pianist Alan Chang. If you’d like to check out the music then why not visit the wonderful youtube for a fan’s version of the video, set to stills. I’ve no idea if Buble will release this song as a single but I hope he does just so I can see how he sees the video !!! Youtube Video Here

I can’t believe it’s over
I watched the whole thing fall
And I never saw the writing that was on the wall
If I don’t land
Days were slipping past
That the good things never last
That you were crying

Summer turned to winter
And the snow it turned to rain
And the rain turned into tears upon your face (I love these three lines, very simple, very clever !)
I hardly recognized the girl you are today
And god I hope it’s not too late
It’s not too late
‘Cause you are not alone
I’m always there with you
And we’ll get lost together
Till the light comes pouring through
‘Cause when you feel like you’re done
And the darkness has won
Babe, you’re not lost
When your worlds crashing down
And you can’t bear to fall
I said, babe, you’re not lost

Paris Hilton – is she real ? !!!!

Paris Hilton defies Logic !!!!I’ve heard it all now and I honestly didn’t think it possible !!! Following her jail sentence last week Hilton believes her celebratory status afford her special privileges that the rest of us cannot. Who the hell does she think she is ? She claims it wasn’t her that started the petition but her friend Josh – so take it off the site if you don’t agree with it ? !!! I expect she paid someone to write it for her. If the governor does relax the terms then he’s as weak as they come. She’ll receive special treatment in jail anyway so why worry ? Not as if she will be on death row or solitary confinement. If it’s good enough for Michael Schofield in Prison Break then surely she can handle 45 days pampering behind solid bars ?!!! Give me strength, lame or what !!!!

Paris Hilton has renewed her plea for freedom – with an online petition appeal to California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The star, jailed last week for driving when she was banned, asks fans to put their names to the campaign in a posting on her MySpace site.

It declares she should be spared her sentence of 45 days’ jail because she brings “beauty and excitement” to people’s “otherwise mundane lives”.
Hilton writes: “My friend Joshua started this petition, please help and sihn [sic] it. i LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!”

The petition itself states: “Paris Whitney Hilton is an American celebrity and socialite…she provides hope for young people all over the US and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives.”

“We, the American public who support Paris, are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk …

Erica Chevillar promotes a sexier look !

Erica Chevillar poses in bikiniWell it certainly seems that Erica Chevillar has moved on from her US Bikini days and has posted for more sexy photographs that are set to make your blood boil !!!! They are incredibly sexy and well shot, a marked improvement from the ones she had done for the US Bikini team (not that there was anything wrong with those I must add !)

The pictures were shot a couple of months ago and all include topless shots of the former West Boca Raton High School teacher. These are a lot saucier than the earlier ones and it does look as if she has stepped up her glamour work now. She does look hot !!!!

Wow !!!! A huge step up from her US Bikini Days !!!Who knows if she will move a further step into glamour and go completely nude and pose with a less conservative stance, I guess only time will tell. One thng is certain she won’t have to go back to teaching now ! Not that she is likely to be accepted back into the educational system – private teaching might be the way to go – but then I’m sure that’s more of a porn film scenario a lot of people wouldn’t mind imagining !!

If you want to read my blog with the story behind her leaving her employ as a teacher and how she was discovered then feel free to click here !

If you’d like to see Erica drinking a glass of milk and looking like the All-American girl then look no further than here – very hot picture !!!…

Big Brother – Kate Evicted

I’ve just finished sitting through the first eviction of Big Brother Australia and I have to say I am not surprised at the outcome. Kate was evicted and Jamie and Bodie were saved by the public. I don’t know how many votes Bodie and Jamie received but I hope Jamie received the least because he is such a likable guy. Not struck on Bodie but he doesn’t seem a nasty guy, just not someone I would want to spend time with !!!

Despite her better than average looks the other person i just can’t work out is Emma – I just don’t like her personality and I fear that Aleisha is being sucked into the world of Emma. I don’t like the bitching and I just have the feeling she’s a nasty piece of work underneath. That said it’s only an opinion gleaned from my time watching the show – I don’t know her so I could be wrong !!!

Andrew and hayley in the rewards roomMy favourite is still Hayley, she appears grounded and has a good heart. I’m loving the twists and turns this season and the housemates have no idea what is going on – mind you the same could be said for the viewers !!! TJ is one to watch, another of those I can’t work out and one I’m sure will get on people’s nerves before too long. The look in her eyes when attacking Thomas was pure evil and it wouldn’t surprise me if I heard she was on therapy and was in fact crazy !!!! One thing is clear, you should never lead her on if you have no intention of going through with it !!!!!

I’m loving Big Brother 2007 (Australia) so far and will continue to watch unless it becomes stupid. It is certainly a far cry …
