Have you ever had one of those days when you just want to curl up an die following a moment of madness or a mishap, something out of your control? If someone gave you the choice of guessing out of George W Bush or a CNN anchor who had made an error in judgement, who would you choose? Dubya right ? Wrong !! For 30 seconds, during a Bush speech on the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, CNN transmitted a joint live outside/inside broadcast from the Presidential podium and the ladies bathroom!

Kyra Phillips went to relieve herself during the speech thinking everything was safe. She left her microphone on and the nation heard her talking about love and her brother’s control freak of a wife – oh by the way, Kyra’s brother has three children! It was a classic mistake by the production staff who failed to turn down the live feed while Kyra was off air.

I don’t think she’s to blame for the mistake, the gallery should have realised the mistake within seconds but unfortunately for Phillips her actions were broadcast live on air until a member of the production crew ran into the bathroom to inform her of the error!

Who says CNN isn’t educational, oh and spare a thought for Kyra in the days to come. Not only will she have to apologise to the viewers but her control freak of a sister in law! Classic! Check out the Video Here !

There’s no doubt the poor girl is going to get a lot of stick following this debarcle but she’s professional enough to take it on the chin and wash it under the bridge !! I guess her Phillips’ extensive police, SWAT and weapons training will stand her in good stead and will no doubt have to connections to deal with any negative press!!!. She also has reported on and participated in specialized aviation training with the Navy’s elite TOPGUN School.

Surely this has to be the best speech Bush has produced as President of the United States ? Certainly one of his most memorable that’s for sure.
