LOST Season 2 Finale – Amazing

I’ve just finished the season two finale of LOST and what a finale it was! For those in the UK please be aware the following article will contain spoilers if you haven’t seen the final two episodes, be aware!! Anyway, as with all cliffhangers that come in a final episode, we are even more confused as to what is happening on the Island. Some questions have been answered but as with all good stories, they have opened other doors and confused us even more!

What will happen to the hatch now that Desmond has turned the key ? I personally would have loved him to have left it, just to see what would happen if nothing was done! We don’t know if either Desmond, Locke or Eko have survived but we do know Charlie survived whatever happened at the hatch to couple up with Claire. Am I the only one that thought the two got back together too quickly ? Within 15 minutes of an episode the pair were lovey dovey again, weird!

I was absolutely gutted that the producers have killed off two main characters in Libby and Ana_Lucia but boy was that episode the best ever in LOST history. The final two episodes were so fast paced that closed so many gaps but opened other wiser than the Grand Canyon. Great to see the back story of how Desmond came to find the hatch and how he washed up on the Island in his boat. With Jack, Kate and Sawyer now captured by “the others” I’m sure all will be revealed in the next season, will they live or be killed ? One thing we do know, no one is safe from the axe!

Michael, following his murder of Ana-Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez) and Libby, must surely be the most hated character on LOST now. His betrayal of his friends must surely go down in LOST history as the ultimate back stab, or gun shot! Now that he has be reacquainted with his son Walt and escaped by the same fishing boat that attacked the raft in last season’s finale, it will be interesting to see if he comes back in season 3 to help his “friends” he gave up for his son.

Oh, what on earth was the final scene all about ? Where were the Russians sitting? Were they in the Antarctic ? It certainly looked cold outside the cabin! Was the electric anomaly from the hatch or from Desmond’s boat ? Come to think of it, the boat wasn’t Penelope’s so must be the hatch giving off a massive signal. One thing that’s for sure, i can’t wait for the first episode of season 3 !
