Beyonce and her Maple Syrup Diet

Want a body like Beyonce ? Simple according to her, just do the Maple Syrup crash diet and you could lose 14lbs in 10 days !!! Following a statement by Beyonce that she used the diet to lose weight for a film have helped sales for Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup soar! The syrup is flying off the shelves and into the homes of those desperate to lose weight, let’s face it that’s half the population! Aol have an opinion too !

Simply mix the syrup with water, lemon juice and cayenne pepper and you are set to go. You drink the concoction in place of your meals at dinner time. The diet was devised in 1985 by a Swiss company and appeared on UK shores five years ago but it takes a huge (not in body proportions!) celebrity like Beyonce to bring this latest fad to light. If you know of any companies making versions of the Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup then this is the time to buy into them!!

If Beyonce claims it worked for her there is no doubt that thousands of people will want to try this regime, however let’s not forget she also has an army of trainers and nutritionists to help her through any regime she wants. Azmina Govindji of the British Dietetic Association warned dieters should treat any “miracle” products with caution.
“There is no evidence that detoxing is any better for you than eating a balanced, healthy diet.

“Fasting for that length of time, whether you are having that drink or any other drink, is likely to give you drastic weight loss anyway because it is all about the deficit of calories.

“It is unlikely to have enough calories or the balance of protein, carbohydrates and essential fats and other vitamins and minerals.”

Only time will tell if this works, watch this space to see if it get’s smaller!!!

    I would like to know if I had to use Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup or if I could use canadian 100% pure maple syrup?

    I can’t believe ya’ll published that under false pretences.
    I heard Beyonce talking about it and she NEVER recommended it. she infact said she doesn’t recommend that other people will do this diet to lose weight and that she only did it for her character transformation in her new movie Dreamgirls. she also said that in everyday life as a performer she would have never done it, that she was perfectly fine with her body before and infact gained the weight back already.

    most 100% syrup sold in stores is a grade B syrup. Grade C syrup which is used in Madal Bal is rare and an ardious task to extract from the maple tree.
    The nuritional balance between these syrups varys considerably.
    I have used the two types and there was a vast difference in the benefits. The Madal Bal is overwhelmingly the superior for the diet,remembering that this syrup was specifically made for the diet.

In the interview Beyonce said she only did this for the film, and she couldn’t wait to put her weight back on!!! she said she defianatly doesn’t recommend it and she loves her curves as they are, this article is an outrage its fab people like Beyonce who show us that forget all that crash diet rubbish and be happy as you are, just eat a healthy balanced diet. anyway if you went on a diet like this the moment normal food toched your lips you’d put all the weight plus more back on! this is absolutly ridiculous!!!!

    I just wanted to say that I use this diet, and it works great for me. After talking to my doctor and getting all the facts, I started using this a body cleaner/diet. I do for 2-3 weeks at a time. I’ve lost 20lbs since I started, and with a healthy diet and my cardio class 4 days a week I haven’t gain any back. For the people who really think they want to do this, talk to your doctor first!!!!! It hard, but the end result is great!!!

    the only reason you lose weight is because you stop eating! i would use this “diet” as a body detox without cutting vital food groups out.

    I agree with jena, jesdicka and abster. Any time you take in less calories than you burn, you lose weight. BUT it comes right back after a crash diet and you will have compromised your overall health. That is a bad choice.

    IF you weigh more than it is healthy for you to weigh, then replace greasy and/or sweet snacks which are high in calories and low in fibre and vitamins with fresh fruits and vegetables. If you hate fruit and/or veggies, just wait an hour. Your taste buds will adapt if you feel hungry. The fibre and vitamins will satisfy you longer. You’ll lose weight slowly, enjoy your meals more and stay healthy.

    You guys are saying its stupid but it works. I tried it and I loss 18 pounds in three weeks. Im eating regularly now and I havent gained it back. It may be different or stupid as you all say but dont comment if you dont know what you’re talking about!! THANK YOU!!!

    Now beyonce is off of the diet she is even bigger than she ever has been!!
    Be warned, a diet is for life. If you dnt change the way you eat then you wont change your figure.
    Take a leaf out of the anorexics book and eat less calories than you burn, and some daily excercise in your life. Stick to it. And the inches will reduce. :-)

    This diet is wacked. After you finish the diet you would just gain all that back! You lose weight because it’s basically a starvation diet.
