I’ve just finished watching an old episode of JAG, a re-run of one of the earlier seasons and I thought how much I missed not only Catherine Bell’s beauty but the wit and comedy of the TV Series starring Catherine and David James Elliot (Harmon). I enjoyed JAG from the outset, it was always light and easy to watch, comical at first but I loved how they “integrated” Clinton in the early episodes as if he was really part of the show – we all know he wasn’t but it was young and set the foundations for a 10 season show – how many get that much of a run these days?
Catherine Bell as has her co-star gone has gone from strength to strength, both working hard in the industry. It was however the sexy Bell that made the show for me, the will they won’t they story line, the writing and of course the court room drama. It was a shame when they decided to end the show but all good things come to an end. Fortunately for us, the show gave us a spin off called NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) starring Mark Harmon.
NCIS is better written and slicker than JAG, the original growing tired in the last couple of seasons unsure as to the direction it wanted to take. Webb and Mac’s relationship was a curious one for me, I never quite understood the thinking behind it. I’ll add more about NCIS which has quickly become one of my favourite shows on tv today.
