Prison Break and Callies

Sarah Wayne CalliesEven though I’ve watched Prison Break (the first series) on both pc and television, I’ve decided I just can’t get enough of a) the show and b) most importantly, Sarah Wayne Callies !! See photograph for obvious reasons ! I loved the way her character was in Prison Break and look forward to seeing the Tarzan flop when it is repeated next on tv ! Anyone else enjoyed watching Prison Break either for Sarah, the other cast or just the great standard of writing in the first season ?

The drama had me gripped right to the end and I have to say I just didn’t expect the ending. I’m not sure of how things work on blogs as I am new to the “can” and “cannot”. Do you post a spoiler message even though the series has completed its run in both the US and UK ? The last thing I would want to do is spoil such a superb series for anyone else not fortunate to have watched it.

I decided on Monday to pre-order the dvd boxset and can’t wait until it arrives now. I’m not sure of the extras but if it is on a par with LOST Season 1 then I will be in for a treat! Any other Prison Break fans out there ?

Prison Break Season 2 returns to the small screen on August 21st in the US on Fox, no date for the UK market. Buy Prison Break from Amazon NOW!!

All Out Without Scoring … Oh dear !!!

I’ve certainly never seen this before and as the report at the BBC says, statisticians are checking the record books to see if this is the worst innings ever !!! Goldsborough Seconds who were playing against local side Dishforth in North Yorkshire, scored just five runs, yes 5 runs all out. However and here’s the amazing fact ….. not one of the batsmen scored a single run, they came courtesy of Extras (or Sundries), all 5 of them !!!

You can find the scorecard here

Now we all have a laugh when an international side scores under a 100 and the top player is extras but this really is a remarkable scoreline !! Goldsborough chairman Henry Webster defended his team, saying the wicket was terrible and pointing out that the league-topping opposition also struggled.

There’s plenty of comments from Mr Webster about how good the opposition are but come on, all out without scoring ? I wonder how bad the wicket was and has the pitch been reported to the ECB ?? !!!! Better luck next week guys, I’ll report back here when they play this weekend to see if they can get at least one batsman in to double figures !!! The game lasted just 57 minutes !!!…
